Megan Hartman, DNP, APRN, ACCNS-AG completed her undergraduate BSN nursing degree at The Univeristy of Arizona and her Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) DNP degree at Rush University. Her nursing career background consists of critical care and peri-op. She is currently a licensed APRN and a cerfitied Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, practicing at Rush University Medical Center. In her position, she practices in the following areas: Cath Lab, Electrophysiology lab, Interventional Radiology, Neuroendovascular, and prep/recovery units. As a CNS, she has a passion for improving health care systems and patient outcomes. Her role entails translating evidence based research into clinical practice, designing and implementing best practice, and supporting the nursing role. After the Covid-19 pandemic, she had publications showcasing the positive impact of the CNS role on the pandemic care. She also has a passion for helping others outside of her career and is a member of the Illinois JDRF Young Leadership Committee, helping provide funding for research and awarneess for individuals with type one diabetes.
