This session will include two facilities sharing unique ways their facilities help improve patient care. The first presentation delves into the imperative realm of expedited ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction patient transfers. It uncovers the pivotal goal set by the American Heart Association to reduce Door-in-Door-Out times to under 30 minutes. With a focus on the implementation of the innovative STEMI auto launch process, the session elucidates how this approach contributes to improved patient outcomes, minimized myocardial damage, and compliance with STEMI performance standards. Attendees will gain insights into interdisciplinary collaboration, seamless EMS dispatch integration, and the positive impact of these measures on STEMI patient care.
The second presentation will discuss how an APP-led protocol driven closed observation unit was implemented and its impact on Heart Score documentation compliance, stress test utilization, and length of stay.
